Carnosine is a compound composed of two amino acids: beta alanine and histidine. Unfortunately, there is an insufficient amount of carnosine in the muscles, which greatly limits its deacidifying effect. The question therefore arises: why not just take carnosine? Carnosine breaks down very quickly in the digestive system and is unable to reach the muscles. For this reason, supplementation with one of its components is used - beta-alanine, which is a factor necessary for the production of the carnosine molecule.
